Bryophytes of Ireland provided by the Biological Records Centre, UK. The dataset comprises the data that is published in the forthcoming Atlas of British & Irish Bryophytes (Blockeel et al. 2014). http://www.brc.ac.uk/biblio/atlas-british-and-irish-bryophytes

For atlas production and support of conservation and biogeographical research

Sampling Description

Quality Control

The data were validated against known vice-county distributions of the species, and (for critical species) by expert examination of specimens.

Method steps

Through a variety of sources, but mostly electronic submission. Older records were generated from hard copy record cards.
