Covers all vascular plants, including pteridophytes and conifers

Purpose

Vascular plant records mainly accumulated as sideline during recording of bryophytes, but with some brief excursions specifically aimed at vascular plant recording

Sampling Description

Quality Control

Experience with field botany in UK since ca 1964 should ensure most records are correct; critical groups are not covered; a few notable records are backed by herbarium specimens or vouchers; a few such as Utricularia identified with microscopic checks

Mainly field records, with few notable records backed by herbarium specimens

A few records are published as short notes in I.N.J., a few more may yet be published if time allows

Taxonomic Coverages

Species Groups recorded: clubmoss, conifer, fern, flowering plant, ginkgo, horsetail, quillwort.

Geographic Coverages

Most Irish vice-counties, but with many records from Galway, Kerry, etc. and few from most vice-counties
