A collated dataset of sightings of all wild and feral mammal species occurring in Ireland and its offshore waters.Purpose
To collect data on the distribution of mammals in Ireland over the period 2010 to 2015 to provide a benchmark on the spatial distribution against which future change can be tracked.Sampling Description
Quality Control
All data is validated by national experts, according to different standards set for each species or groups of species.Method steps
- The principal method of data capture is through submission of records through the Centre's on-line records submission form. Data is also being incorporated from different sources and digitised and added to dataset.
