Description

Survey of invasive species at the railroad stations along Bergensbanen. A total of 39 out of 41 stations (from Grindvoll/Skotselv to Trengereid station) at the railroad line between Oslo and Bergen were systematically surveyed including 1km of the tracks to each side of the station area.

Georeferenced information about invasive species along the railroad line provide important information for the planning of contruction works to ensure correct treatment of soil including these species.

Purpose

Survey data collected with funding from Jernbaneverket to provide information about invasive species for planning purposes.

Sampling

Registration made on a pad. Polygon data for each station/survey area is available.

Method steps

  1. Station area defined as all areas belonging to the station property. The area along the tracks were surveyed to the natural boundaries to each side of the track.
